originally released September 15, 2015 on R.A.I.G records, Sea and Land has been remastered and is now home with it's siblings here at fallAwake.
Sea and Land is a "concept" EP based on what I extracted from a mid 19th century, science and adventure, compilation of writings and illustrations by the same title. This EP is the only example in the Were-Jaguars catalog where an outside engineer (Leon Spinks) was used. The drums, organ, and many ambient tracks were recorded at his studio in Eugene OR. Jason Miller added vocals to this album as "the lion" in "A Lion's Dream" and as the "the mastodon" in "Mastodon Hunt." Unfortunately this marks Rick's final performance with the band. Fortunately there is plenty of psychedelic insanity from James, which is a theme that gets carried forward through "III" and especially "IV".
